Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. section 552, I respectfully request copies of written and electronic communications from Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld to Stephen Cambone on the afternoon of September 11, 2001, and any notes, written and electronic, taken by Stephen Cambone during oral communications with Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld on the afternoon of September 11, 2001.
The purpose of this request is to verify the contents of a CBSNEWS.com article describing the notes. The account of the notes given in the CBSNEWS.com article, “Plans For Iraq Attack Began On 9/11,” 9/4/2002, differed from the accounts of the notes provided on pp. 334-335 of the paperback edition of the 9/11 Commission Report, and in Bob Woodward’s book “Plan of Attack.”
I also respectfully request a fee waiver, as the release of this information is likely to contribute significantly to public understanding of the operations or activities of government, and is not primarily in my commercial interest.
Although outragedmoderates.org does not have federal non-profit legal status, it should qualify as non-commercial under the meaning of the Freedom of Information Act, because the primary purpose of the website is for political expression, and the website neither charges any membership fee nor accepts advertising.
